The Costa Hospital in Porretta Terme is the most important health facility in the entire Apennines and also plays a decisive role in the assets of the USL at the metropolitan level. The Lions Club Porretta Terme Alto Reno strongly believes in collaboration with other associations and businesses in the metropolitan area and in the attention to health, as a factor of well-being for the whole community. For this reason we are very proud to announce the realization of a very important service in favor of the Costa Hospital: the purchase of the Karl Storz 4K/ICG/3D Videolaparoscopy System distributed in Italy by Zaccanti spa – Bocchetti Group. This acquisition represents a very important technological qualification for the hospital in Porretta, which is fundamental in order to enhance the excellent work of the healthcare professionals who work there. Attention to the emerging needs of the community, constant dialogue with institutions, collaboration with businesses and associations and constant investment in the area: these are some of the pillars on which the work of Lions Clubs is based, perfectly represented in this service. The machine will also be named after Dr. Antonio Rubbi, councillor of the Carisbo Foundation, founding member of the Lions Club Porretta Terme and historical face of Catholic solidarity in Bologna. The inauguration ceremony on September 7, 2021 was attended by: the Cardinal of Bologna Matteo Maria Zuppi, the Governor of District 108 tb Giordano Bruno Arato, the Mayor of the Municipality of Alto Reno Terme Giuseppe Nanni, the Director of the USL Paolo Bordon and a large delegation of institutional representatives from all over the Bolognese Apennines, testifying to the importance of this purchase for the territory. “Attention to emerging needs in the community, constant dialogue with institutions, collaboration with business and associations and constant investment in the territory: these are some of the pillars on which the work of Lions Clubs is based, perfectly represented in this service” said the President of the Lions Club Luca Boschi.
